On February 7, 2022, all lecture halls and study areas were excitedly listening to lectures and exchanges of teachers and students at Thu Dau Mot University. According to records from the Office of Undergraduate Training, there were 157 study groups with 8523 students studying on-site on the morning of the first day.

Like many educational institutions in the country, teachers and students at Thu Dau Mot University share the same enthusiasm and excitement when they return to school to teach and study face-to-face after a long period of studying online at home. Especially for many first-year students, the enthusiasm multiplies when they first set foot in the university because all enrollment activities, admissions, etc., have been done online the whole time.

The joy of new students

Matriculated in Environmental Science, Nguyen Thi Phuong Trinh from Ninh Thuan province has spent the first semester online learning and cannot meet teachers, friends or visit lecture halls. When receiving the notice of the date of attending school at the school, Phuong Trinh expressed her joy, excitement, and busy preparing for a student's journey away from home. "As a student outside the province, I want to go to school directly to have interesting experiences about the university environment and student life. The most important thing, learning face-to-face can facilitate the study process, exchange lessons directly with teachers and friends, thereby increasing learning efficiency. Moreover, the curriculum has practical lessons that need to be learned in the laboratory under the lecturer's direct guidance, which will definitely help me absorb knowledge better." Phuong Trinh shared.

Also, a first-year student, Pham Ngoc Mai - majoring in Korean Language (Binh Phuoc hometown), approached the fan page of Doan - Thu Dau Mot University Hall to ask volunteers to help find accommodation. Departing for Binh Duong from February 5, accompanied by Ngoc Mai, her parents wanted to know where their daughter's accommodation and study would be. From the list of rooms provided by the Youth Union - the Student Union, Ngoc Mai contacted and found a room near the university, with high security. Hence, Mai's parents were also very reassured. In class this morning, Ngoc Mai said, you are very excited to meet your lecturers and friends, especially love the university's library space. On the first day, all students adhered to the 5k regulation on epidemic prevention and, at the same time, strictly followed the university's rules that were instructed in advance.
